It's the story of Old Put the Clown's struggle to make a more realistic sex doll simulating local celebrity lawyer Joumana. The journey begins when Old Put is told by her anthropomorphic poppers and bong to make a Craigslist ad asking the "doll community" to help her. What transpires is Old Put's journey through fringe groups to find the perfect craftsman for her obsession.
The original script was written and workshopped through the PuppetArt Theatre's 2014 Laboratory, and has since been refined to create the most fully realized production yet. The staging of the show for the art "cave" will be from a stage enclosed in a cage inside a theatre built from green screens. The audience and actors will be recorded by videos in the puppet's eyes. The resulting video footage will be an assemblage of the show and the set with the puppet's past lives and dreams keyed into the walls of the theatre.
